*Review* N.Y.C Concealer Stick
I have been using this stuff for a couple years now, but have since replaced it with a liquid concealer stick since I find it looks more natural when you cover. That doesn't mean its not a good product to use it just depends what you need to cover and what type of coverage you are looking for. It retails for around $2.99 and comes in three different shades: fair, medium and dark.
Pros
- provides full coverage over acne and other skin imperfections
- comes in a shade that is light enough for my skin tone (very fair)
- goes on dry (can be a good or bad thing depending on how oily or dry your skin is)
- inexpensive compared to other similar brands
- the stick lasts a long time depending on how much you need to use it
- coverage lasts all day
- depending on what you are covering sometimes it looks obvious (not natural dotty appearance)
- can look cakey depending on where and what you are covering
- goes on dry (can be a good or bad thing depending on how oily or dry your skin really is)
- might not come in a shade to match your skin tone (say if you are in between a fair and medium tone)
I like a more natural lighter looking makeup when I am just going out shopping and am in more natural looking light. I do like using it when I do theatre though, because it goes on a bit heavier then liquid concealer, and it hides more imperfections which is perfect for performing.
